“MILITANCY” CONCEPT-SPHERE’S SEMIOLINGUISTIC ACTUALIZATION IN ADVERTISING DISCOURSE

open access: yesВестник Волгоградского государственного университета: Серия 2. Языкознание, 2020
The paper focuses on the clusters of signs that support semiosis of belligerency and contribute to actualization of the concept-sphere “Militancy” in creolized advertising texts.

Exercise Interventions in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults With Paediatric Bone Tumours—A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bone tumours present significant challenges for affected patients, as multimodal therapy often leads to prolonged physical limitations. This is particularly critical during childhood and adolescence, as it can negatively impact physiological development and psychosocial resilience.

Exploring the Gap between Perfect Bayesian Equilibrium and Sequential Equilibrium

open access: yesGames, 2016
In (Bonanno, 2013), a solution concept for extensive-form games, called perfect Bayesian equilibrium (PBE), was introduced and shown to be a strict refinement of subgame-perfect equilibrium; it was also shown that, in turn, sequential equilibrium (SE) is

No-Regret Learning in Extensive-Form Games with Imperfect Recall [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Counterfactual Regret Minimization (CFR) is an efficient no-regret learning algorithm for decision problems modeled as extensive games. CFR's regret bounds depend on the requirement of perfect recall: players always remember information that was revealed

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

A simplification of games in extensive form

open access: yesDuke Mathematical Journal, 1951
A study of game theory in extensive form applicable to military situations. The problem of a necessary and sufficient condition for the equivalence of two patterns of information is also discussed.

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Trembling-Hand Perfection in Extensive-Form Games with Commitment

open access: yesInternational Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2018
We initiate the study of equilibrium refinements based on trembling-hand perfection in extensive-form games with commitment strategies, that is, where one player commits to a strategy first.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

A Method for Distributed Control of Reactive Power and Voltage in a Power Grid: A Game-Theoretic Approach

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
The efficiency of a power system is reduced when voltage drops and losses occur along the distribution lines. While the voltage profile across the system buses can be improved by the injection of reactive power, increased line flows and line losses could
