Plasma p‐tau217 Versus p‐tau181 in Parkinson's Disease: Differential Associations with Alzheimer's Disease‐Related Neurostructural Changes and Cognitive Function

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Plasma phosphorylated‐tau at threonine‐217 (p‐tau217) and threonine‐181 (p‐tau181) are scalable, minimally invasive biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathology. In Parkinson's disease (PD), AD co‐pathology may contribute to its clinical heterogeneity.

Reachable Workspace as a Clinical Outcome for Upper Extremity Function: A Narrative Review

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Motion sensing technology can be utilized to capture detailed upper extremity (UE) motion to reconstruct an individual's three‐dimensional (3D) reachable workspace (RWS). The RWS can be quantified as relative surface area (RSA), providing an innovative surrogate measure to assess UE mobility and function.

Information Design for Early‐Stage Dose‐Finding Trials

open access: yesNaval Research Logistics (NRL), EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To enhance enrollment rates in early‐stage dose‐finding clinical trials, we propose an information design approach, where the clinical investigator (CI) commits to an information releasing mechanism (IRM) based on the treatment's uncertain efficacy and toxicity to encourage patients to participate in the trial.

Do Injury, Depression, and PTSD Mediate the Relationships Between Latent Profiles of Cumulative Lifetime Violence and Chronic Pain Disability in Men?

open access: yesResearch in Nursing &Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Knowledge of association between violence and chronic pain in men is limited by neglect of violence experiences as perpetrator, disregard of heterogeneity in cumulative lifetime violence severity (CLVS), weak understanding of mediation pathways, and inattention to social determinants of health (SDOH).
