On the Multivariate Gamma-Gamma ($\Gamma \Gamma$) Distribution with Arbitrary Correlation and Applications in Wireless Communications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The statistical properties of the multivariate Gamma-Gamma ($\Gamma \Gamma$) distribution with arbitrary correlation have remained unknown. In this paper, we provide analytical expressions for the joint probability density function (PDF), cumulative ...

Land subsidence and associated ground fracturing: study cases in central Mexico with ALOS-2 PALSAR-2 ScanSAR Interferometry [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, 2020
Land subsidence affects highly developed urban areas in central Mexico, where inhabitants rely on groundwater for about 60 % of water supply and most of the cities are located in volcanic valleys filled with fine and coarse grained sediments ...

Radiative decays of light vector mesons in a quark level linear sigma model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We calculate the P0 to gamma gamma, V0 to P0 gamma and V0to V'0 gamma gamma decays in the framework of a U(3)xU(3) linear sigma model which includes constituent quarks.

Transition form factors $\gamma^*\gamma\to\eta$ and $\gamma^*\gamma\to\eta'$ in QCD

open access: yes, 2014
We update the theoretical framework for the QCD calculation of transition form factors $\gamma^*\gamma\to\eta$ and $\gamma^*\gamma\to\eta'$ at large photon virtualities including full next-to-leading order analysis of perturbative corrections, the charm ...

Dense Subgraphs in Random Graphs

open access: yes, 2018
For a constant $\gamma \in[0,1]$ and a graph $G$, let $\omega_{\gamma}(G)$ be the largest integer $k$ for which there exists a $k$-vertex subgraph of $G$ with at least $\gamma\binom{k}{2}$ edges.

The Bayesian Posterior and Marginal Densities of the Hierarchical Gamma–Gamma, Gamma–Inverse Gamma, Inverse Gamma–Gamma, and Inverse Gamma–Inverse Gamma Models with Conjugate Priors

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Positive, continuous, and right-skewed data are fit by a mixture of gamma and inverse gamma distributions. For 16 hierarchical models of gamma and inverse gamma distributions, there are only 8 of them that have conjugate priors. We first discuss some common typical problems for the eight hierarchical models that do not have conjugate priors.

Radiative decays of basic scalar, vector and tensor mesons and the determination of the P-wave q\bar q multiplet

open access: yes, 2001
We perform simultaneous calculations of the radiative decays of scalar mesons f_0(980)-> \gamma\gamma, a_0(980)-> \gamma\gamma, vector meson \phi(1020)-> \gamma f_0(980), \gamma a_0(980), \gamma \pi^0, \gamma \eta, \gamma \eta' and tensor mesons a_2(1320)

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)
