Density measurement of multi-layered material using gamma-ray transmission technique
Radiation Physics and Chemistry, 2021Abstract The densitometry measurement based on the gamma-ray transmission technique of 3-layers material (tin, aluminum, and lead) has been newly developed and studied in this work. The concept and the calculation method were briefly described and the results of each material were compared with Archimedes's technique.

The study presents a new ANN-based approach to determine the density of a liquid applied in the gamma transmission and gamma scattering techniques. This approach used the Monte Carlo simulation combined with an artificial intelligence technique and experimental data to estimate the density of liquids.

Gamma-ray transmission technique for quality control of coal seams
Canadian Journal of Physics, 2002The useful heat value (UHV) that is the figure of merit for coal depends on various parameters such as fixed carbon, volatiles, ash, and moisture. The percentage of these materials present in a given sample of coal can be estimated by gamma-ray transmission studies.

This study proposes an approach based on the gamma-ray transmission technique to accurately determine the thickness of material plates using a low-activity source. For this purpose, we have set up an experimental configuration without collimators for both source and detector.

Rapid quality control for coal seams by gamma ray transmission technique
Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 1999Abstract The quality of coal expressed as useful heat value (UHV) depends on various parameters such as fixed carbon, volatiles, ash and moisture. These factors have been assessed and the detailed dependence of UHV on these parameters has been studied for samples of coal from a local mine.

On-line nuclear ash gauge for coal based on gamma-ray transmission techniques
Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 1999Developments and applications of on-line nuclear gauges in the coal industry are highly requested. In this work, a nuclear ash gauge for coal, based on γ-ray transmission techniques is developed. Single and dual energy γ-ray beams are used to determine the ash content of coal.

The aim of this study is to investigate the structural changes of Al doped ZnO thin films with gamma transmission technique with Cs-137 gamma radioisotope source. Gamma transmittance and gamma absorption coefficient, (1/mm) were investigated with the increase Al (at.%) concentration. Hence it can be possible to assess the density for Al doped ZnO thin

The aim of this study is to apply gamma ray transmission (GRT), a non destructive technique, in the structural characterization of low-porosity ceramic samples. GRT technique is based on the attenuation that photons of an incident radiation beam undergo when passing through the material.
