Choosing Colors for Geometric Graphs via Color Space Embeddings

open access: yes, 2006
Graph drawing research traditionally focuses on producing geometric embeddings of graphs satisfying various aesthetic constraints. After the geometric embedding is specified, there is an additional step that is often overlooked or ignored: assigning ...

Spectral Optimization of White LED Based on Mesopic Luminance and Color Gamut Volume for Dim Lighting Conditions

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The study aims to propose an approach of white LED spectral optimization based on mesopic luminance and color gamut volume for dim lighting conditions. Three optimal white LED spectra with relatively higher mesopic luminance and color gamut volume, the ...

Pushing the Limits of 3D Color Printing: Error Diffusion with Translucent Materials

open access: yes, 2015
Accurate color reproduction is important in many applications of 3D printing, from design prototypes to 3D color copies or portraits. Although full color is available via other technologies, multi-jet printers have greater potential for graphical 3D ...

An Empirical Study of Finding Approximate Equilibria in Bimatrix Games

open access: yes, 2015
While there have been a number of studies about the efficacy of methods to find exact Nash equilibria in bimatrix games, there has been little empirical work on finding approximate Nash equilibria.

Establishing a Model Precursor System: Over a Decade of Research on Carbon Dots from the Citric Acid‐Urea System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The citric acid/urea (CA‐Urea) precursor system offers a versatile, scalable route to carbon dots with tunable luminescence and multifunctionality. Mechanistic insights into precursor chemistry and reaction parameters have enabled doping, surface modification, and hybridization strategies, yielding CDs for luminescent devices, sensing, catalysis ...

Tellurophene‐Induced Triplet–Singlet Spin‐Flip Acceleration: An Advanced Design for Narrowband Organoboron Emitters with Fast Reverse Intersystem Crossing

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Linking an auxiliary dibenzo[b,d]tellurophene unit markedly accelerates exciton spin conversion in multi‐resonance‐type thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitters. Owing to the heavy‐atom effect of tellurium, the corresponding OLEDs retain remarkably high external electroluminescence quantum efficiencies exceeding 25% even at an exceptionally ...

3D Anodic Alumina Nanoarchitectures: A Decade of Progress from Foundational Science to Functional Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Triple Matrix Confinement‐Induced Ultrabright Afterglow From Carbon Dots With Multivariate Responsive Afterglow Colors for Advanced Dynamic Information Encryption

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A novel carbon dots material (BUL‐CDs) with an initial afterglow brightness (406 cd m−2) far exceeding that of other afterglow luminescent materials was developed. Furthermore, the BUL‐CDs exhibited time‐dependent afterglow colors, excitation‐dependent afterglow colors, and thermochromic afterglow in response to triplet variables.

A synchronous binary array divider [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
An asynchronous binary divider formed of an array of identical logic cells is described. Each cell includes a single bit binary subtractor and a selection gate. The array is connected to divisor, dividend, quotient and remainder registers.
