Protective effect of Ganoderic acid A on adjuvant-induced arthritis
Immunology Letters, 2020The purpose of the experiment was to explore the effect of Ganoderic acid A (GAA) on adjuvant-induced arthritis in rats. In this study, the rat model of collagen-induced rheumatoid arthritis (CIA) was established with type II collagen plus Freund's complete adjuvant. Arthritis index, joint pathology, toe swelling, hemorheology, synovial cell apoptosis,

Anti-hepatitis B activities of ganoderic acid from Ganoderma lucidum
Biotechnology Letters, 2006Ganoderic acid, from Ganoderma lucidum, at 8 microg/ml inhibited replication of hepatitis B virus (HBV) in HepG2215 cells over 8 days. Production of HBV surface antigen and HBV e antigen were 20 and 44% of controls without ganoderic acid. Male KM mice were significantly protected from liver injury, induced with carbon tetrachloride, by treatment with ...

Ganoderic acid alleviates chemotherapy-induced fatigue in mice bearing colon tumor
Acta Pharmacologica Sinica, 2021Chemotherapy-related fatigue (CRF) is increasingly being recognized as one of the severe symptoms in patients undergoing chemotherapy, which not only largely reduces the quality of life in patients, but also diminishes their physical and social function. At present, there is no effective drug for preventing and treating CRF.

Ganoderic acid A against cyclophosphamide‐induced hepatic toxicity in mice
Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, 2018AbstractThis study clarified the protective effect of ganoderic acid A (GAA) on cyclophosphamide (CP)‐induced hepatotoxicity in mice. Hepatic injury mice were induced by a single intraperitoneal injection of CP (200 mg/kg). The results showed that the levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) in serum and liver of ...

AbstractGanoderic acid S, ganoderic acid T and ganoderal B are the main bioactive triterpenes of Ganoderma lucidum. In this study, mycelia of G. lucidum were obtained by two‐stage fermentation and then extracted by ethanol and petroleum ether sequentially to obtain crude triterpenes. The crude sample was further purified by recycling high‐speed counter‐

Antioxidant potential of ganoderic acid in Notch-1 protein in neuroblastoma
Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, 2018Neuroblastoma is a childhood tumor arising from developing a sympathetic nervous system and causes around 10% of pediatric tumors. Despite advancement in the use of sophisticated techniques in molecular biology, neuroblastoma patient's survivability rate is very less.

Regulation of osteoclastogenesis by ganoderic acid DM isolated from Ganoderma lucidum
European Journal of Pharmacology, 2009The preventative effects of the ethanol extracts of Ganoderma lucidum against the ovariectomized (Ovx)-induced deterioration of bone density in 11-week-old female Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were investigated. The results showed that the G. lucidum-treated Ovx rats showed improved bone density compared with the Ovx rats.

A new ganoderic acid from Ganoderma lucidum mycelia and its stability
Fitoterapia, 2013A new ganoderic acid (GA), 3α,22β-diacetoxy-7α-hydroxyl-5α-lanost-8,24E-dien-26-oic acid (1), together with four known compounds GA-Mk (2), -Mc (3), -S (4) and -Mf (5), was isolated and characterized from Ganoderma lucidum mycelia. The structure of compound 1 was elucidated on the basis of interpretation of extensive spectroscopic data (HRMS, IR, UV ...
