Orally Administered Functional Polyphenol‐Nanozyme‐Armored Probiotics for Enhanced Amelioration of Intestinal Inflammation and Microbiota Dysbiosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel polyphenol‐nanozyme‐armored probiotic system (ECA@EcN) for enhanced treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). By integrating chitosan‐modified epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG‐CS) with gold nanozymes, the system effectively scavenges ROS, improves probiotic viability, and restores gut microbiota balance.

Self-Supervised Learning for Gastritis Detection with Gastric X-ray Images [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Purpose: Manual annotation of gastric X-ray images by doctors for gastritis detection is time-consuming and expensive. To solve this, a self-supervised learning method is developed in this study. The effectiveness of the proposed self-supervised learning method in gastritis detection is verified using a few annotated gastric X-ray images.

Catheter Injectable Multifunctional Biomaterial for the Treatment of Infected Enterocutaneous Fistulas

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multi‐functional shear‐thinning hydrogel is engineered to treat enterocutaneous fistulas. This hydrogel can resist external pressures allowing it to remain within the fistula tract and is shown to have significant antimicrobial, pro‐healing, and anti‐inflammatory properties, which were validated in in vitro and in vivo experiments.
