Gaussian beam quantum radar protocol
We present an entangled quantum radar protocol. It consists in scanning the sky with a thin Gaussian beam and measuring the travel time of the radiation reflected from the target, as in conventional radars.

Beam shaping using Gaussian beam modes [PDF]
A beam shaping method is presented where a diffractive optical element (DOE) is designed by optimizing the complex mode coefficient weights of a set of Gaussian beam modes.

ABCD matrix for reflection and refraction of laser beam at tilted concave and convex elliptic paraboloid interfaces and studying laser beam reflection from a tilted concave parabola of revolution [PDF]
Studying Gaussian beam is a method to investigate laser beam propagation and ABCD matrix is a fast and simple method to simulate Gaussian beam propagation in different mediums.

Gaussian beams diffracting in time [PDF]
We show how to transform the mathematical expression of any monochromatic paraxial light beam into the expression of a pulsed beam whose diffraction is switched from the axial direction to its temporal structure. We exemplify this transformation with time-diffracting Gaussian beams. The conditions for the obtained diffraction-free wave to be physically

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.
