Demographic variation in incidence of adult glioma by subtype, United States, 1992-2007

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2011
Background We hypothesized that race/ethnic group, sex, age, and/or calendar period variation in adult glioma incidence differs between the two broad subtypes of glioblastoma (GBM) and non-GBM. Primary GBM, which constitute 90-95% of GBM, differ from non-

Cancer-selective nanoparticles for combinatorial siRNA delivery to primary human GBM in vitro and in vivo.

open access: yesBiomaterials, 2019
Novel treatments for glioblastoma (GBM) are urgently needed, particularly those which can simultaneously target GBM cells' ability to grow and migrate.

A Cascade Recognition of Activatable Probe for Fluorescence Navigation Glioblastoma Surgery: Overcoming Blood‐Brain Barrier and Off‐Target Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cascade recognition of activatable probe ANG‐hCy‐MC is used for high‐precision depiction of glioblastoma (GBM) margin. This probe crosses the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) through LRP1 receptor‐mediated transport and provides excellent fluorescence signal contrast between the tumor and normal tissues, thereby enabling ultra‐selective imaging and precise ...

Aptamer‐Engineered Liposomal Platform Enables in Situ cDC1 Vaccination to Potentiate Immunotherapy in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Prostate cancer is immunologically ‘cold’, with scarce, dysfunctional type 1 conventional dendritic cells (cDC1s) that limit T cell priming. We introduce an aptamer‐targeted liposomedelivering FMS‐like tyrosine kinase 3 ligand (Flt3L) and chlorin e6 (Ce6). Ultrasound induces antigen release and cDC1s recruitment, creating an in situ cDC1 vaccine.

ER stress and UPR activation in glioblastoma: identification of a noncanonical PERK mechanism regulating GBM stem cells through SOX2 modulation

open access: yesCell Death and Disease, 2019
Patients with aggressive brain tumors, named glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), have a poor prognoses. Here we explored if the ER stress/unfolded protein response (UPR) is involved in the pathophysiology of GBM and may provide novel therapeutic targets ...

Metal‐Supramolecular Drug Delivery System Empowered Meningeal Lymphatic Vessels‐Bridged Intracranial‐Peripheral Dual Immune Modulation for Reversing Glioblastoma Immune Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel metal‐supramolecular nanoplatform (FLM@VC) enables efficient brain delivery via meningeal lymphatic vessels (MLVs), bypassing the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) through subcutaneous administration. It reprograms tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) and remodels the MLVs to promote DC trafficking and CD8+ T cell activation.

scResponse: A Rank‐Based Method for Identifying Cell States That Contribute to Immunotherapy Response by Single‐Cell Data

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Although the tumor microenvironment is known to shape immunotherapy response, its key determinants remain elusive, underscoring the critical need for single‐cell resolution analytical frameworks. We present scResponse, an efficient algorithm to quantify single‐cell responses to immunotherapy. By capturing diverse cellular subtypes and states associated

SENP7 inhibits glioblastoma metastasis and invasion by dissociating SUMO2/3 binding to specific target proteins

open access: yesOpen Medicine
The poor surgical efficacy and recurrence of glioblastoma (GBM) are due to its lack of visible infiltrative features. Our bioinformatics study suggests that low expression of small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO)-specific protease 7 (SENP7) indicates poor
