Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Study of Histamine Detection using Liquid Chromatography and Gas Chromatography

open access: yesASM Science Journal, 2021
Histamine is a heterocyclic amine shaped by decarboxylation of the histidine. It is a compound that lack chromophore and involatile. However, the detection of histamine is imperative due to the characteristic of histamine has given several disadvantages ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

GC-supplementation partially rescues fitness of cells with GC-rich plasmids.

open access: yes, 2019
Eight pairwise cocultures of cells harbouring AT-rich and GC-rich pJet plasmids were co-inoculated (1:1 ratio) and serially propagated on a daily basis. Strains were supplied with AT or GC deoxyribonucleosides (100 μM per nucleoside).

Taylor–Couette flow of a fractional second grade fluid in an annulus due to a time-dependent couple

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2011
Exact solutions for the velocity field and the associated shear stress, corresponding to the flow of a fractional second grade fluid between two infinite coaxial cylinders, are determined by means of Laplace and finite Hankel transforms.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...
