Inhibitory effects of metal ions on reductive dechlorination of polychlorinated biphenyls and perchloroethene in distinct organohalide-respiring bacteria

open access: yesEnvironment International, 2020
Bioremediation of sites co-contaminated with organohalides and metal pollutants may have unsatisfactory performance, since metal ions can potentially inhibit organohalide respiration.

Oxychlorine Species on Mars: A Review

open access: yesReviews of Geophysics, Volume 63, Issue 4, December 2025.
Abstract Oxychlorine species (mainly perchlorate and chlorate) have been identified at multiple locations on the surface of Mars by both orbiter and in situ rovers. They have also been found in martian meteorites. Cl‐isotopes in meteoritic minerals suggest that an oxychlorine cycle has been operating on the martian surface for the last ∼4 billion years.

High Mobility and Electrostatics in GeSn Quantum Wells With SiGeSn Barriers

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 19, November 18, 2025.
This study investigates electrical transport in GeSn quantum wells with SiGeSn barriers and characterizes hole mobilities as a function of hole density. The observed mobilities are higher than previously reported for GeSn quantum wells with similar compositions but with a Ge barrier.
