Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1591-1611, June 2026.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Identification of Co-Expression Modules of Cotton Plant Height-Related Genes Based on Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis

open access: yesAgronomy
Plant height (PH) is a vital agronomic trait that significantly affects cotton yield and facilitates mechanized harvesting. Gaining insights into the genetic regulatory mechanisms governing plant height is fundamental to advancing cotton breeding.

Transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression in plants [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
In the past few years virtually every aspect of plant gene expression has been covered by thoughtful, in-depth reviews. In this article, it is not my goal to repeat, combine or update those reviews.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Positive Regulation of the Hrp Type III Secretion System in Pseudomonas syringae pv. phaseolicola

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2010
Disease in compatible hosts and induction of the hypersensitive response in resistant plants by most plant-pathogenic bacteria require a functional type III secretion system (T3SS).

Studies on plant gene transfer systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
A number of methods for the transfer of genes to plants are assessed in this work. The potential of Agrobacterium tumefaciens infection of germinating pollen tubes in vitro as a method of gene transfer was investigated and evidence presented for an ...

Nonparametric Bayesian inference for perturbed and orthologous gene regulatory networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Motivation: The generation of time series transcriptomic datasets collected under multiple experimental conditions has proven to be a powerful approach for disentangling complex biological processes, allowing for the reverse engineering of gene ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
