The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Generalized-Extended-State-Observer-Based Repetitive Control for MIMO Systems With Mismatched Disturbances

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper concerns the problem of designing a modified repetitive-control system based on a generalized extended state observer (GESO) for a class of multi-input, multi-output systems in the form of a nonintegral chain and with mismatched disturbances ...

Improved Active Disturbance Rejection-Based Decentralized Control for MIMO Nonlinear Systems: Comparison with The Decoupled Control Scheme

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
A decentralized control scheme is developed in this paper based on an improved active disturbance rejection control (IADRC) for output tracking of square Multi-Input-Multi-Output (MIMO) nonlinear systems and compared with the decoupled control scheme ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

ℋ∞ optimization with spatial constraints [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
A generalized ℋ∞ synthesis problem where non-euclidian spatial norms on the disturbances and output error are used is posed and solved. The solution takes the form of a linear matrix inequality. Some problems which fall into this class are presented.

Disturbance in weak measurements and the difference between quantum and classical weak values

open access: yes, 2015
The role of measurement induced disturbance in weak measurements is of central importance for the interpretation of the weak value. Uncontrolled disturbance can interfere with the postselection process and make the weak value dependent on the details of ...

Generalized Extended State Observer Based High Precision Attitude Control of Quadrotor Vehicles Subject to Wind Disturbance

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Wind disturbance may significantly degrade the attitude control performance during the flight of quadrotor vehicles. In order to meet the requirement of high-precision attitude control, a generalized extend state observer (GESO)-based disturbance and ...

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.
