Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Elasticity Problem for a Layer with a Cylindrical Cavity Under Periodic Loading

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering
In aerospace and mechanical engineering, elements that are loaded by periodic loads (periodic function) are used. In problems for a layer with cylindrical inhomogeneities, it is difficult to take such loads into account.

Applications of the integral transforms composition method to wave-type singular differential equations and index shift transmutations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2018
In this article we study applications of integral transforms composition method (ITCM) for obtaining transmutations via integral transforms. It is possible to derive wide range of transmutation operators by this method.

Vertical axis non-linearities in wavelength scanning interferometry

open access: yes, 2015
The uncertainty of measurements made on an areal surface topography instrument is directly influenced by its metrological characteristics. In this work, the vertical axis deviation from linearity of a wavelength scanning interferometer is evaluated.

Evidence for Itinerant Ferromagnetic Flat Bands Producing Large Transverse Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Itinerant ferromagnetic flat bands are demonstrated in GdCo5 with a high Curie temperature of 940K, a stacked honeycomb–kagome lattice, through angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy and magneto‐thermoelectric measurements. These topological flat bands generate large Berry curvaturte, producing gigantic anomalous Nernst effect with record‐high ...

Real-time stereo matching on CUDA using Fourier descriptors and dynamic programming

open access: yesComputational Visual Media, 2019
Computation of stereoscopic depth and disparity map extraction are dynamic research topics. A large variety of algorithms has been developed, among which we cite feature matching, moment extraction, and image representation using descriptors to determine

Gapless Superconductivity From Extremely Dilute Magnetic Disorder in 2H‐NbSe2‐xSx

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that 2H‐NbSe2‐xSx hosts gapless superconductivity at unexpectedly low magnetic impurity concentrations. Combining STM, Bogoliubovde Gennes simulations, DFT, and quasiparticle interference, we comprehensively study the development of gapless behavior and show that SeS substitution reshapes the band structure, enhances nesting, and drives ...

A Generalized Solution Method to Undamped Constant-Coefficient Second-Order ODEs Using Laplace Transforms and Fourier Series

open access: yes, 2023
A generalized method for solving an undamped second order, linear ordinary differential equation with constant coefficients is presented where the non-homogeneous term of the differential equation is represented by Fourier series and a solution is found ...
