The Invisibility of Gender in War [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
The generalized likelihood ratio (GLR) test is a widely used method for detecting abrupt changes in linear systems and signals. In this paper the marginalized likelihood ratio (MLR) test is introduced for eliminating three shortcomings of GLR while ...

Deep Sequencing of FLT3‐ITD Enables Response Evaluation and Post‐Treatment Monitoring in Childhood AML: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

An Effective Baseline Correction Algorithm Using Broad Gaussian Vectors for Chemical Agent Detection with Known Raman Signature Spectra

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Raman spectroscopy, which analyzes a Raman scattering spectrum of a target, has emerged as a key technology for non-contact chemical agent (CA) detection. Many CA detection algorithms based on Raman spectroscopy have been studied.

Therapeutic Apheresis for Intravenous Methylprednisolone‐Refractory Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder: Clinical and Radiological Outcomes in a Single‐Center Case Series

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

Estimation and Statistical tests For the Parameters of Multiple Linear Generalized Modified Bessel Regression Model [PDF]

open access: yesالمجلة العراقية للعلوم الاحصائية, 2013
This paper is concerned with the estimation and statistical tests of hypothesises around parameters of generalized modified Bessel linear regression model by Non-Bayesian (classical) techniques under the assumption that the shape parameters ( ) are known

Phase-Based GLRT Detection of Moving Targets with Pixel Tracking in Low-Resolution SAR Image Sequences

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) can provide ground area monitoring with large coverage. However, achieving a wide observation scope comes at the cost of resolution reduction owing to the trade-off between these parameters in conventional SAR ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Analysis of statistical resolution limit based on Rao test

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2017
Since the approach of analyzing statistical resolution limit (SRL) based on generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) has the problems of high computational complexity and isn’t easy to get the analytical formula of the detection statistics,a method for ...

Low-Grazing Angle Detection in Compound-Gaussian Clutter with Hybrid MIMO Radar

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2013
This paper focuses on the target detection in low-grazing angle using a hybrid multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar systems in compound-Gaussian clutter, where the multipath effects are very abundant.

Efficient Optimal Joint Channel Estimation and Data Detection for Massive MIMO Systems

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we propose an efficient optimal joint channel estimation and data detection algorithm for massive MIMO wireless systems. Our algorithm is optimal in terms of the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT).
