Explicit bound for the number of primes in arithmetic progressions assuming the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis [PDF]
We prove an explicit error term for the psi(x, chi) function assuming the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis. Using this estimate, we prove a conditional explicit bound for the number of primes in arithmetic progressions.Peer ...

Accurate and noninvasive prostate cancer detection using plasma‐derived extracellular vesicle RNA
Plasma extracellular vesicles were captured with WGA‐conjugated magnetic beads and profiled for RNA biomarkers. A three‐RNA panel (NM_024955, NR_047469, and NR_002564) distinguished prostate cancer from healthy controls and benign prostatic hyperplasia, supporting a simple, noninvasive approach to improve prostate cancer detection.

On a conjecture of Gowers and Wolf
On a conjecture of Gowers and Wolf, Discrete Analysis 2022:10, 13 pp. Szemerédi's theorem asserts that for every $\delta>0$ and every positive integer $k$ there exists $n$ such that every subset $A$ of $\{1,2,\dots,n\}$ of size at least $\delta n ...

Two conditional results about primes in short intervals [PDF]
In 1937, Ingham proved that ψ(x + xθ) - ψ(x) ~ xθ for x → ∞, under the assumption of the Lindelöf hypothesis for θ > 1/2. In this paper we examine how the above asymptotic formula holds by assuming in turn two different heuristic hypotheses.

IGF2 knockout reduces but does not abolish osteosarcoma growth in vitro and in vivo
To test whether endogenous IGF2 promotes osteosarcoma growth, IGF2 was knocked out in Saos2 cells via CRISPR‐Cas9. KO cells showed reduced proliferation in vitro, and knockout xenografts in mice reached only ~25% of wild‐type tumor volume. Insulin‐like growth factor 2 (IGF2) is implicated in osteosarcoma, but direct functional evidence of its role is ...

Researchers have proposed that intergroup prejudice is partially caused by behavioral immune system mechanisms. Across four studies (total N = 1,849), we used both experimental (pathogen priming) and individual differences (pathogen disgust sensitivity ...

Predicting Maximal Gaps in Sets of Primes
Let q > r ≥ 1 be coprime integers. Let P c = P c ( q , r , H ) be an increasing sequence of primes p satisfying two conditions: (i) p ≡ r (mod q) and (ii) p starts a prime k-tuple with a given pattern H ...

New bound for Roth's theorem with generalized coefficients
New bound for Roth's theorem with generalized coefficients, Discrete Analysis 2022:16, 21 pp. Roth's theorem states that for every $\delta>0$ there exists $n$ such that every subset of $\{1,2,\dots,n\}$ of size at least $\delta n$ contains an arithmetic

Integers represented as a sum of primes and powers of two [PDF]
It is shown that every sufficiently large even integer is a sum of two primes and exactly 13 powers of 2. Under the Generalized Rieman Hypothesis one can replace 13 by 7.

Student engagement extends beyond simple attendance. Across 891 bioscience students from three universities, attendance behaviour was associated mainly with structural influences, whereas classroom spatial behaviour reflected affective and sensory factors.
