Integrated generation- transmission expansion planning: a review of the state of the art

open access: yes, 2016
In the last decade a great number of research works have approached the power systems planning problem by coordinating in a single optimization problem the generation expansion planning (GEP) and the transmission expansion planning (TEP).

Evaluating distributed generation impacts with a multiobjective index [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Evaluating the technical impacts associated with connecting distributed generation to distribution networks is a complex activity requiring a wide range of network operational and security effects to be qualified and quantified. One means of dealing with

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Enhancing Generation Expansion Planning With Integration of Variable Renewable Energy and Full-Year Hourly Multiple Load Levels Balance Constraints

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper proposes a method for generation expansion planning that incorporates full-year hourly multiple load levels balance constraints, providing sufficient flexibility to address load fluctuations and intermittency associated with variable renewable

Distributionally Robust Generation Expansion Planning with Unimodality and Risk Constraints

open access: yes, 2021
As more renewables are integrated into the power system, capacity expansion planners need more advanced long-term decision-making tools to properly model short-term stochastic production uncertainty and to explore its effects on expansion decisions.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.

Sustainable Generation and Transmission Expansion Planning Using MOPSO-BPSO in Electrical Grid

open access: yesJurnal Nasional Teknik Elektro dan Teknologi Informasi
As of 2023, approximately 85% of power plants operating in South Sulawesi relied on fossil fuels, such as coal, gas, and oil. To meet the increasing demand for electricity while reducing carbon emissions, it is essential to integrate renewable energy ...
