Characterization of Streptomyces venezuelae ATCC 10595 rRNA gene clusters and cloning of rrnA [PDF]
Streptomyces venezuelae ATCC 10595 harbors seven rRNA gene clusters which can be distinguished by BglII digestion. The three rRNA genes present in each set are closely linked with the general structure 16S-23S-5S. We cloned rrnA and sequenced the 16S-23S spacer region and the region downstream of the 5S rRNA gene.

NF90–NF45 functions as a negative regulator of methyltransferase‐like 3/14 (METTL3/14)‐mediated N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modification on primary microRNAs (pri‐miRNAs). NF90–NF45 binds to anti‐oncogenic pri‐miRNAs and inhibits their m6A modification, thereby suppressing the biogenesis of anti‐oncogenic miRNAs.

The mitochondrial genome of the endophyte Edenia gomezpompae CRI Eg3 isolated from sweet potato
Edenia gomezpompae CRI Eg3 was isolated from the leaves of sweet potato. Its complete mitogenome contains 37,226 bp, with a G + C content of 26.1%. A total of 51 genes were annotated, including 16 protein-coding genes, 33 tRNA genes, and 2 rRNA (s-rRNA ...

Microvariation Artifacts Introduced by PCR and Cloning of Closely Related 16S rRNA Gene Sequences [PDF]
A defined template mixture of seven closely related 16S-rDNA clones was used in a PCR-cloning experiment to assess and track sources of artifactual sequence variation in 16S rDNA clone libraries. At least 14% of the recovered clones contained aberrations.

Amplification and direct sequencing of fungal ribosomal RNA genes for phylogenetics
Comparative studies of the nucleotide sequences of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes provide a means for analyzing phylogenetic relation ships over a wide range of taxonomic levels (Woese and Olsen 1986; Zimmer et al 1988; Medlin et al 1988; Jorgensen and ...

ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Characterization of Francisella species isolated from the cooling water of an air conditioning system. [PDF]
Strains of Francisella spp. were isolated from cooling water from an air conditioning system in Guangzhou, China. These strains are Gram negative, coccobacilli, non-motile, oxidase negative, catalase negative, esterase and lipid esterase positive.
