Cis-regulatory module detection using constraint programming [PDF]
We propose a method for finding CRMs in a set of co-regulated genes. Each CRM consists of a set of binding sites of transcription factors. We wish to find CRMs involving the same transcription factors in multiple sequences.

Psoriatic disease (PsD) is a chronic skin disease, with challenges in early risk stratification and drug development. Through gene‐level causal inference framework and expression level validation, combined with longitudinal cohort study, CDSN and PRSS8 have been identified as candidate biomarkers and therapeutic targets for PsD.

Genomic Mining for Aspergillus Natural Products
The genus Aspergillus is renowned for its ability to produce a myriad of bioactive secondary metabolites. Although the propensity of biosynthetic genes to form contiguous clusters greatly facilitates assignment of putative secondary metabolite genes in the completed Aspergillus genomes, such analysis cannot predict gene expression and, ultimately ...

This study shows that integrin receptor CD49a (Itga1 gene) is significantly upregulated in hyperactivated microglia and microglia‐specific knockdown of Itga1 rescues neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration in a chronic Parkinson's disease (PD) model by targeting PGAM5‐mediated mitochondrial dysfunction and NLRP3 activation. Targeted inhibition of CD49a

Halorotetin B, a novel small‐molecule terpenoid identified from an edible marine ascidian, exhibits strong anti‐tumor activity both in vitro and in vivo through direct targeting UBE2C to induce tumor cell cycle arrest and then lead tumor cell senescence. As a newly discovered UBE2C inhibitor, Halorotetin B can serve as a novel potential cell senescence
