Construction of Large‐Scale Bioengineered Hair Germs and In Vivo Transplantation
Here, a novel bioengineered hair germ (BHG) system is developed using thermodynamically incompatible mucopolysaccharides for efficient hair follicle regeneration. The BHG microspheres, produced via microfluidic technology, encapsulate Wnt3a for sustained release, enhancing mesenchymal stem cell differentiation and activating key regeneration pathways ...

Redesigning pattern mining algorithms for supercomputers [PDF]
Upcoming many core processors are expected to employ a distributed memory architecture similar to currently available supercomputers, but parallel pattern mining algorithms amenable to the architecture are not comprehensively studied. We present a novel closed pattern mining algorithm with a well-engineered communication protocol, and generalize it to ...

An Engineered PfAgo with Wide Catalytic Temperature Range and Substrate Spectrum
This work presents a strategy for engineering thermophilic Ago proteins to obtain wide catalytic temperature range and broad substrate spectrum. This strategy is applied to engineer PfAgo and TtdAgo, and the biochemical properties of the engineered PfAgo are systematically characterized. The study further elucidates the structural differences involved.

Mining Functional Modules by Multiview-NMF of Phenome-Genome Association [PDF]
Background: Mining gene modules from genomic data is an important step to detect gene members of pathways or other relations such as protein-protein interactions. In this work, we explore the plausibility of detecting gene modules by factorizing gene-phenotype associations from a phenotype ontology rather than the conventionally used gene expression ...

Salt stress endangers coastal cereal crops, requiring resilient crop solutions. This study employs machine learning (KANMB) to analyze multi‐omics data from halophyte Spartina alterniflora, revealing 226 salt‐stress biomarkers and linking them to tolerance pathways. The MYB gene SaMYB35 regulates flavonoid biosynthesis under salinity.
