Genome sequence of the progenitor of the wheat D genome Aegilops tauschii
Aegilops tauschii is the diploid progenitor of the D genome of hexaploid wheat (Triticum aestivum, genomes AABBDD) and an important genetic resource for wheat. The large size and highly repetitive nature of the Ae. tauschii genome has until now precluded

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) mediate intercellular communication in tumor immune microenvironments. However, their role in B‐cell malignancies remains poorly defined, owing to biological complexity and technical challenges in EV isolation and analysis.

Complete chloroplast genome sequence of the wild diploid potato relative, Solanum brevicaule
Solanum brevicaule is a wild tuber-bearing species belonging to Solanaceae family. The complete chloroplast genome of S. brevicaule was constituted by de novo assembly using a small amount of whole genome sequencing data.

PacBio assembly of a Plasmodium knowlesi genome sequence with Hi-C correction and manual annotation of the SICAvar gene family. [PDF]
Plasmodium knowlesi has risen in importance as a zoonotic parasite that has been causing regular episodes of malaria throughout South East Asia. The P. knowlesi genome sequence generated in 2008 highlighted and confirmed many similarities and differences

In the adult T‐cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) cell line ED, the human T‐cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV‐1) provirus was integrated into the intron of the ift81 gene in the antisense orientation. Despite this integration, both the intact ift81 and the viral oncogene hbz were simultaneously expressed, likely due to the functional insufficiency of viral ...

Ultraaccurate genome sequencing and haplotyping of single human cells. [PDF]
Accurate detection of variants and long-range haplotypes in genomes of single human cells remains very challenging. Common approaches require extensive in vitro amplification of genomes of individual cells using DNA polymerases and high-throughput short ...

TRAF2 binds to TIFA via a novel motif and contributes to its autophagic degradation
TRAF family members couple receptor signalling complexes to downstream outputs, but how they interact with these complexes is not always clear. Here, we show that during ADP‐heptose signalling, TRAF2 binding to TIFA requires two short sequence motifs in the C‐terminal tail of TIFA, which are distinct from the TRAF6 binding motif.
