A multi-trait multi-environment QTL mixed model with an application to drought and nitrogen stress trials in maize (Zea mays L.)

open access: yes, 2008
Despite QTL mapping being a routine procedure in plant breeding, approaches that fully exploit data from multi-trait multi-environment (MTME) trials are limited.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Environmental stratification based on a 28 x 28 diallel of open-pollinated maize varieties

open access: yesCrop Breeding and Applied Biotechnology, 2008
The objective of this study was to assess the representativeness of the test environments used by the maize breeding program of Embrapa in the first phase of genotype evaluation.

Agronomic Performance and GGE-biplot Analysis of Tef Genotypes Evaluated in Multienvironment Trials in Western Amhara, Ethiopia

open access: yesBlue Nile Journal of Agricultural Research, 2022
The low productivity of tef needs to be improved through concerted research efforts. Multi-environment variety trial was conducted on 14 tef genotypes at Adet, Mota, and Bichena from 2016 to 2018 to identify and recommend high yielding and stable ...

Genotype-environment interaction in some rice mutants (Oryza sativa L.) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Stability performance and genotype-environment (G×E) interactions were investigated for yield and yield components of seven rice genotypes at eight cultural soil environments and were measured through linear regression and deviation from regression.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

A resampling test for principal component analysis of genotype-by-environment interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In crop science, genotype-by-environment interaction is oftenexplored using the "genotype main effects and genotype-by-environmentinteraction effects" (GGE) model.

Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

A Prospective Study of Individuals at Risk of Multiple Sclerosis Informs the Design of Primary Prevention Studies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective In multiple sclerosis, the optimal time for deploying a therapeutic intervention is before the central nervous system is damaged; given the success of trials treating the earliest stage of MS, the radiologically isolated syndrome, developing primary prevention strategies is an important next challenge.
