Exergetic Model of Secondary Successions for Plant Communities in Arid Chaco (Argentina)

open access: yesInternational Scholarly Research Notices, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
Ecosystems are open systems where energy fluxes produce modifications over plant communities. According to the state and transition model, plant formations are defined by changes in natural conditions and disturbs. Based on these changes, it is possible to define vectors that show the tendencies of the communities towards other states.

Large‐scale facilitative effects for a single nurse shrub: Impact of the rainfall gradient, plant community and distribution across a geographical barrier

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 112, Issue 2, Page 233-245, February 2024.
The effect of a single key shrub that acts as a nurse species is dependent on its distribution range. The co‐inhabiting plant communities and the environment of the distribution range, exemplified in this study through the rainfall gradients, shape the final effect of the shrub.

Phylogenomic analysis of protein‐coding genes resolves complex gall wasp relationships

open access: yesSystematic Entomology, Volume 49, Issue 1, Page 110-137, January 2024.
We present the first phylogenomic analysis of gall wasp relationships (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae) based on protein‐coding sequence data from genome and transcriptome assemblies. Our results confirm previous analyses of ultra‐conserved elements, suggesting that the family falls into three lineages, recognized here as separate families: Cynipidae (s. str.),
