Phaseolus Germplasm Exploration
Much has been written on the subject of germplasm collection (see HAWKES et al., 1983, for a revised bibliography on the subject). However, less literature deals directly with the germplasm of Phaseolus beans. Aspects of Phaseolus germplasm exploration and their consequences for subsequent germplasm use and management will be discussed here.
