Genomic diversity of sweet potato geminiviruses in a Brazilian germplasm bank
Begomoviruses cause major diseases of sweet potato worldwide impairing considerably the yields of this important food staple. Since sweet potato plants are vegetatively propagated and globally transported, they are prone to accumulate and disseminate geminiviruses. Effective diagnostic tools are, therefore, desirable.

The germplasm of Passiflora L. is conserved through seed banks and field collections. Dormant seeds, seeds with low viability, and high-cost field collections make it difficult to maintain germplasm banks, and in vitro conservation can be a ...

Storage of plant species with desiccation-sensitive germplasm in Compact Germplasm Bank.
Abstract Plant species sensitive to desiccation are difficult to store and transport in the germplasm bank for space travel. Applying plant tissue culture can help to create a Plant Germplasm Bank for this species. For this purpose, the Compact Germplasm Bank (CGB) was created to store and transport in vitro explants, maintaining them for long ...
