Gestational Melatonin Supplementation Attenuates Maternal Sleep Deprivation‐Induced Steatohepatitis Susceptibility in Offspring

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 59, Issue 5, May 2026.
Maternal SD during pregnancy enhances the development of diet‐induced NASH in adult offspring of both sexes through an NR4A3‐dependent mechanism, characterised by heightened inflammation and increased apoptosis. Maternal melatonin supplementation effectively alleviates this increased susceptibility to NASH in offspring.

Single‐Cell Analysis of Preeclamptic Cord Blood Mononuclear Cells Revealed Activation of Heme‐Associated Signalling Pathways

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 9, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Preeclampsia is a severe gestational complication whose molecular pathogenesis remains poorly understood despite extensive research. It is now recognized that both maternal and fetal cells contribute to disease progression. Notably, single‐cell RNA sequencing of cord blood cells from preeclamptic pregnancies has not been previously ...

Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasia in the 1990s [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Major advances have been achieved during the past 40 years in the epidemiology, etiology, pathology, endocrinology, immunology, diagnosis, and treatment of molar pregnancy (MP) and gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN).

Generation of Cloned Sheep Lacking Galactose‐α1,3‐Galactose and N‐Glycolylneuraminic Acid Antigens

open access: yesXenotransplantation, Volume 33, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT Livestock have long been regarded as a potential source of donor organs to alleviate the global organ shortage for transplantation. Sheep have a similar anatomy to humans, providing the standard model for demonstrating biocompatibility and performance of biological heart valves to obtain regulatory approval for their use in transplantation ...

Gestational Trophoblastic Disease with Hyperthyroidism and Severe Pre-eclampsia: Anesthetic Management

open access: yesSiriraj Medical Journal, 2015
Gestational trophoblastic disease originates from abnormal proliferation of molar tissue and most of them are not complicated. However, life threatening complications such as hyperthyroidism and severe pre-eclampsia can occur.

An update on pacemaking in the myometrium

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 9, Page 3661-3671, 1 May 2026.
Abstract figure legend The spread of multiple electrical signals (panel A, blue‐to‐red indicates increasing electrical excitability) that are spatiotemporally distinct, yet in‐phase with the excitatory episode, determines action potential shape and form (panel B, as recorded by single cell microelectrodes) and ensures contractile amplitude and duration

Anaesthetic Challenges in Molar Pregnancy

open access: yesThe Indian Anaesthetists' Forum, 2013
Gestational Trophoblastic Disease (GTD) is a spectrum of tumours with a wide range of biologic behaviour and potential for metastases, which were often fatal in the past.

Identification and Validation of DLD as a Cuproptosis‐Associated Biomarker in Preeclampsia

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 8, 30 April 2026.
DLD is identified as a preeclampsia‐associated cuproptosis hub gene by bioinformatics. DLD overexpression inhibits trophoblast proliferation, invasion, and migration, disrupts TCA cycle metabolism, and alters mitochondrial ultrastructure. These findings reveal that DLD may contribute to preeclampsia pathogenesis through cuproptosis.

Comparison of ?-HCG Regression Curve in Molar Pregnancy and Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasms

open access: yesپزشکی بالینی ابن سینا, 2011
Introduction & Objective: All cases of gestational trophoblastic tumors are curable if exact diagnosis and early treatment is done. The serum level of βHCG is a sensitive marker of the disease.

Gestational choriocarcinoma presenting with hemorrhagic venous infarct and multiple lung metastases: A case report

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports
Choriocarcinoma is a rare and aggressive form of gestational trophoblastic disease with a high potential for metastasis. We report the case of a 31-year-old female who presented with severe headaches, left-sided weakness, and speech difficulties.
