Polydopamine Nanoparticle‐Mediated Precise Near‐Infrared Optical Stimulation for Cognitive Enhancement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Polydopamine nanoparticles enable a precise, non‐genetic, and transcranial neuromodulation strategy via near‐infrared photothermal stimulation. By activating TRPV1 channels, this approach specifically enhances hippocampal gamma oscillations, thereby rescuing spatial memory deficits in models of perioperative neurocognitive disorder.

CD8+ T cell memory is sustained in mice by hepatic stellate cells

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
HSC role in memory CD8+ T cell maintenance. Abstract Background and Aims Long‐lasting immunological memory is the ultimate goal of vaccination. Homeostatic maintenance of memory CD8+ cytotoxic T cells (MemCD8TCs) is thought to be mediated by IL‐15/IL‐15R heterodimer (15HD)‐expressing myeloid cells.

Structure and Transcriptional Regulation of the GFAP Gene

open access: yesBrain Pathology, 1994
Transcriptional regulation of the GFAP gene is intimately connected with astrocyte function: its initial activation marks the differentiation of astrocytes, and its up‐regulation accompanies the reactive response to CNS injury. Studies of GFAP transcription should thus provide insights into multiple regulatory pathways operating in these cells.

Identification of risk factors of brain injury in infants with congenital heart diseases undergoing cardiac surgery on cardiopulmonary bypass

open access: yes
reservedBackground. Le cardiopatie congenite (CHD) severe richiedono nel primo anno di vita un intervento chirurgico correttivo con bypass cardiopolmonare (CPB).

GFAP expression during mouse development.

open access: yes, 2012
Serial sections of embryonic brains were stained with an antibody that recognizes most GFAP isoforms (pan-GFAP; B, D, F, H) or a specific GFAPδ antibody (A, C, E, G). GFAP first appeared at E12 (B) whereas GFAPδ was absent at E12 and E15 (A and C).

Immunohistochemical profiling and neuroepithelial heterogeneity in immature ovarian teratomas: a retrospective digital pathology-based study

open access: yesOpen Medicine
Immature ovarian teratomas are rare malignant germ cell tumours with variable neuroepithelial differentiation and limited prognostic markers. Their grading is subjective and challenging, with heterogeneous clinical behaviour and limited therapeutic ...

NSD2 Coordinates the Neurogenic‐to‐Gliogenic Transition via H3K36me2‐Dependent Activation of the EGFR‐ERK Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NSD2 coordinates the neurogenic‐to‐gliogenic transition in the developing neocortex through H3K36me2‐dependent activation of EGFR–ERK signaling. Loss of NSD2 disrupts astroglial and oligodendroglial development, whereas ERK activation rescues gliogenic defects in vitro and in vivo.

Assessment of lipocalin-1, resistin, cathepsin-D, neurokinin A, agmatine, NGF, and BDNF serum levels in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

open access: yesTürk Biyokimya Dergisi
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurological and developmental disorder that affects all aspects of social communication, with stereotypical and limited interest and atypical responses to sensory stimuli. There isn’t a reliable lab test that can help
