OBJECTIVE METHODS FOR DETERMINE THE SEVERITY AND PROGNOSIS OF PERINATAL HYPOXIC-ISCHEMIC CNS
Perinatal hypoxic-ischemic damage of the CNS is a major cause of mortality and neonatal incapacitating. The severity and prognosis is not always possible to accurately determine by clinical and tools methods of examination.

A long‐lived, five‐cell‐type human neurovascular (PENTA) model recreates vascular disorganization and incomplete repair after traumatic brain injury (TBI). By integrating endothelial, glial, neuronal, and immune components within a 3D scaffold, the platform enables time‐resolved analysis of neurovascular remodeling and provides a human‐relevant system ...

This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

New GFAP splice isoform (GFAPµ) differentially expressed in glioma translates into 21 kDa N-terminal GFAP protein [PDF]
The glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) is a type III intermediate filament (IF) protein that is highly expressed in astrocytes, neural stem cells, and in gliomas. Gliomas are a heterogeneous group of primary brain tumors that arise from glia cells or

Dexime: A Selectively Enzyme‐Degradable Hydrogel for Protein Therapeutic Release
A dextrin‐oxime hydrogel (dexime) is produced using ketone or aldehyde modified dextrin and tetra‐oxyamine modified poly(ethylene glycol). The rheological and mechanical properties of dexime are tunable. Dexime is injectable, cytocompatible, hydrolytically stable, and selectively degradable by α‐amylase.
