EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

GFP-positive cells during pituitary development.

open access: yes, 2016
Using sagittal sections of embryonic pituitaries on E18.5 (A–Bʹʹʹ) and E19.5 (C–Eʹʹʹ), immunostaining was performed for GFP, PRRX1, and SOX2, which were visualized with FITC (green), Cy3 (red), and Cy5 (white), respectively. GFP/PRRX1/SOX2-triple (yellow

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Emergence of GFP-expressing PCs in SCA1 mouse cerebella after transplantation of TRE-GFP-hfMSCs expressing GFP through the Tet-off system.

open access: yes, 2016
(a) The TRE-GFP gene was introduced into hfMSCs through a lentivirus (1). The transduced TRE-GFP-hfMSCs were injected into the cerebella of 6–8-month-old SCA1 mice (2).

GFP-CD9 expression in stable cell line.

open access: yes, 2022
Cells from the GFP-CD9+ cell line were stained with Hoechst 33342 1:2,000 (in blue). Images were taken with a 40X objective. Expression of the fusion protein can be seen located to the cell membrane. (TIF)

Characterisation of alternative expression vectors for recombinant Bacillus Calmette-Guérin as live bacterial delivery systems

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz
BACKGROUND Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) is considered a promising live bacterial delivery system. However, several proposals for rBCG vaccines have not progressed, mainly due to the limitations of the available expression systems.

Disappearance of GFP-positive hepatocytes transplanted into the liver of syngeneic wild-type rats pretreated with retrorsine.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Background and aimGreen fluorescent protein (GFP) is a widely used molecular tag to trace transplanted cells in rodent liver injury models. The differing results from various previously reported studies using GFP could be attributed to the immunogenicity

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
