Gibberellins of Sugarcane [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 1966
In our hands a phosphate buffered celite column has given an adequate separation of GA(1) and GA(3). These 2 gibberellins are normally very difficult to separate. Young sugarcane growing under moisture stress contains at least 2 gibberellin-like substances. One is suspected to be GA(5). The other is unknown but has high activity in the barley endosperm

Gibberellin A4 monohydrate [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2007
The title compond, C(19)H(24)O(5)·H(2)O, has two gibberellin A4 mol-ecules and two water mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The A and B rings have chair conformations, whereas the C and D rings have envelope conformations; the two rings which contain the lactone and carbonyl bridge adopt chair and envelope conformations.

Toward a Green Revolution in soybean: The role of ultra‐high‐density planting

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
A proposed soybean Green Revolution pathway aims to enhance yield through ultra‐high‐density planting by cultivating dwarf and dense‐planting‐tolerant varieties (e.g., Dongsheng 89), optimizing planting and fertilization techniques, and applying the rin1 gene to ensure food security.

Biogenic Synthesis and Spatial Distribution of Endogenous Phytohormones and Ginsenosides Provide Insights on Their Intrinsic Relevance in Panax ginseng

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2019
Ginseng, the root and rhizome of Panax ginseng C. A. Mey., is a well-known and valuable traditional Chinese medicine. The pharmacological activities of ginseng are mainly attributed to the presence of ginsenosides, which are considered to be critical ...

Interactions between ethylene, gibberellins, and brassinosteroids in the development of rhizobial and mycorrhizal symbioses of pea

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Botany, 2016
Highlight An ethylene-insensitive mutant of pea with enhanced nodulation and arbuscular mycorrhizal development showed that gibberellin and brassinosteroid deficiency affect nodule number via ethylene levels.

Plant Growth Promotion and Biocontrol of Pythium ultimum by Saline Tolerant Trichoderma Isolates under Salinity Stress [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This present study evaluates three isolates of Trichoderma as plant growth promoting or biological control agents: Trichoderma aggressivum f. sp. europaeum, Trichoderma saturnisporum, and the marine isolate obtained from Posidonia oceanica, Trichoderma ...

The Effects of Benzil Amino Purin (BAP) and Gibberellin with in Vitro Seedling Growth of Pulesari (Alyxia Reinwardtii Bl) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Background: Alyxia reinwardtii Bl. in natural habitat becomes rare and reaches vulnerable status. The high price and high market demand made the over harvested beyond regeneration capacity of the plant while the conservation efforts are terribly limited.

Drivers of strigolactone diversity: P450s in strigolactone biosynthesis

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the discovery and functional identification of cytochrome P450 in strigolactone biosynthesis, classifies and summarizes the members discovered so far, clarifies their biological significance, discusses the technology of strigolactone synthesis research, and finally describes some problems in strigolactone research and potential ...

Genotypic variation of dormancy in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Agricultural Science, Department of Plant Science, Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Embryo dormancy and α - amylase dormancy are desirable in wheat to minimise pre-harvest sprouting damage. The current work focuses on the embryo and graincoat colour.
