ABSTRACT Pot size is a critical factor in plant growth experiments, influencing root architecture, nutrient uptake, and overall plant development as well as sensing of stress. In controlled environments, variation in pot size can impact phenotypic and molecular outcomes and may bias experimental results.

Abstract Climate fluctuations have made it increasingly difficult for growers to maintain the quality and quantity of their grain to a degree that is satisfactory to buyers. Challenges for growers are preharvest sprouting (PHS) and late‐maturity alpha‐amylase (LMA), which are influenced by weather and genetic differences between varieties. Both lead to

This study identified 11 SmPR‐1 genes in Salvia miltiorrhiza, which play crucial roles in plant defense and stress response. Expression profiling and subcellular localization of SmPR‐1‐5 suggest its involvement in intracellular signaling, and CMV infection triggers specific gene activation patterns.

O florescimento e a produção de tangerinas são influenciados pela safra anterior. Assim, a inibição do florescimento excessivo pode evitar uma frutificação elevada e a exaustão das reservas da planta, contribuindo para uma produção mais uniforme ao longo

Hormonal regulation of wheat growth during hydroponic culture [PDF]
Hormonal control of root growth has been explored as one means to alleviate the crowding of plant root systems experienced in prototype hydroponic biomass production chambers being developed by the CELSS Breadboard Project.

ABSTRACT The influence of cold stress during the reproductive phase can lead to substantial yield losses in sorghum. In order to extend cultivation into temperate regions, a better understanding of reproductive cold tolerance is essential for breeding progress.

Microorganism‐released metabolites, proteins, or toxins modulate plant‐based targets to regulate physiological processes such as phytohormone and nutrition balance and stress resistance. Microbes that affect plant physiological processes regulate the visual, olfactory, and gustatory cues associated with plants to attract or repel insect herbivores and ...

Summary Research on the ripening of fleshy fruits has relied on techniques that measure transcriptional changes. How ripening is linked to posttranslational modifications such as protein phosphorylation remains less studied. Here, we characterize the MADS‐box SEPALLATA 4 (SEP4) subfamily transcription factor FaCMB1, a key negative regulator controlling
