Spider (Araneae) Abundance and Diversity Across Land‐Use Gradients

We sampled spider populations in economically important kiwifruit orchards that are adjacent to either low‐disturbance ecosystems (native forest) or high‐disturbance ecosystems (maize), using pitfall traps and active sampling. A total of 2710 spiders were collected from 27 families, representing 64 species and eight functional guilds.

Curcuma deliniana, a Rare New Curcuma Species (Zingiberaceae) Previously Misidentified as C. wenyujin

A new triplod Curcuma species from Guangxi in China, C. deliniana, is described and illustrated. It was previously misidentified as the medicinal plant C. wenyujin and used as a substitute or adulterant of C. kwangsiensis, whereas it differs from the latter two species.

Targeted Metabolomics Reveals Tissue‐Specific Accumulation and Translocation of Bioactive Compounds in Ginger During Growth

Targeted UHPLC–MS/MS methods were established to quantify 32 bioactive compounds in ginger leaves, stems, and rhizomes during growth. Distinct tissue‐specific accumulation and translocation patterns were observed, and aminoacyl‐tRNA biosynthesis was identified as the most active pathway in ginger development.
