The development of a Java based GIS viewing tool : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Masters of Technology in Information Engineering at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) industry sources quote the ratio of power users to casual users at 1000:1, within New Zealand this figure has been found to be 30:1.

Constraints on planet formation via gravitational instability across cosmic time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We estimate the maximum temperature at which planets can form via gravitational instability (GI) in the outskirts of early circumstellar disks. We show that due to the temperature floor set by the cosmic microwave background, there is a maximum distance from their host stars beyond which gas giants cannot form via GI, which decreases with their present-

Analysis of comprehensive genomic profiling of solid tumors with a novel assay for broad analysis in clinical diagnostics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In molecular cancer diagnostics, comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) is going to replace the small NGS panels since it provides all clinically relevant somatic variants as well as genomic biomarkers with clinical value. Here, we compared two CGP assays and demonstrate that the choice for diagnostic implementation will depend on the specific ...

Conceptions of geographic information systems (GIS) held by senior geography students in Queensland [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Geographical Information Systems (GIS) represent one of the major contributions to spatial analysis and planning of the new technologies. While teachers and others have viewed its potential contribution to geographical education as considerable, it has ...

GI-graphs and their groups [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
The class of generalized Petersen graphs was introduced by Coxeter in the 1950s. Frucht, Graver and Watkins determined the automorphism groups of generalized Petersen graphs in 1971, and much later, Nedela and \v{S}koviera and (independently) Lovre\v{c}i\v{c}-Sara\v{z}in characterised those which are Cayley graphs.

Molecular and functional profiling unravels targetable vulnerabilities in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We used whole exome and RNA‐sequencing to profile divergent genomic and transcriptomic landscapes of microsatellite stable (MSS) and microsatellite instable (MSI) colorectal cancer. Alterations were classified using a computational score for integrative cancer variant annotation and prioritization.

Evolution of Gi Fi Technology Over Other Technologies [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
Gi-Fi stands for Gigabit Wireless. Gi-Fi is a wireless transmission system which is ten times faster than other technology and its chip delivers short-range multigigabit data transfer in a local environment. Gi-Fi is a wireless technology which promises high speed short range data transfers with speeds of up to 5 Gbps within a range of 10 meters.

Plasma lipidomic and metabolomic profiles in high‐grade glioma patients before and after 72‐h presurgery water‐only fasting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.
