Initiation of a major calving event on the Bowdoin Glacier captured by UAV photogrammetry [PDF]
In this paper, we analyse the calving activity of the Bowdoin Glacier, north-western Greenland, in 2015 by combining satellite images, UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) photogrammetry and ice flow modelling.

The impact of a seasonally ice free Arctic Ocean on the temperature, precipitation and surface mass balance of Svalbard [PDF]
The observed decline in summer sea ice extent since the 1970s is predicted to continue until the Arctic Ocean is seasonally ice free during the 21st Century. This will lead to a much perturbed Arctic climate with large changes in ocean surface energy flux.

TreeSpider: In‐Canopy Exploration With Tether‐Based Aerial Modular Arms
A tethered drone with perching arms and a 360° ring enables unprecedented maneuverability within dense forest canopies. By dynamically adjusting tether length and decoupling pitch from the frame, it navigates between branches, senses multiple trees, and interacts physically with foliage.

Controls on the diurnal streamflow cycles in two subbasins of an alpine headwater catchment [PDF]
In high-altitude alpine catchments, diurnal streamflow cycles are typically dominated by snowmelt or ice melt. Evapotranspiration-induced diurnal streamflow cycles are less observed in these catchments but might happen simultaneously.

Recent warming has had enormous impacts on glaciers and high-mountain environments. Hazards have changed or new ones have emerged, including those from glacier lakes that form as glaciers retreat.

Testicular mRNA‐LNP Delivery: A Novel Therapy for Genetic Spermatogenic Disorders
In the current study, we developed a novel therapy for genetic spermatogenic disorders. It was revealed that in vivo delivery of mRNA LNP3 could restore spermatogenesis in Msh5D486Y/D486Y and Maps KO mouse models with meiotic arrest. Notably, the offspring without genomic integration was born using ICSI derived from the rescue of Msh5D486Y/D486Y mouse ...

Tributary Glacier Surges: An Exceptional Concentration at Panmah Glacier, Karakoram Himalaya [PDF]
Four tributaries of Panmah Glacier have surged in less than a decade, three in quick succession between 2001 and 2005. Since 1985, 13 surges have been recorded in the Karakoram Himalaya, more than in any comparable period since the 1850s.

Modelling glacier change in the Everest region, Nepal Himalaya
. In this study, we apply a glacier mass balance and ice redistribution model to examine the sensitivity of glaciers in the Everest region of Nepal to climate change. High-resolution temperature and precipitation fields derived from gridded station data,

High light exposure triggers an epidermis‐specific remodeling of mitochondria and ER in Arabidopsis, driven by chloroplast‐derived signals. Live‐cell imaging shows that HL rapidly suppresses mitochondrial motility, followed by fusion‐driven elongation and ER cisternal expansion.

Effect of topography on subglacial discharge and submarine melting during tidewater glacier retreat. [PDF]
-We explored secular variations in subglacial discharge and submarine melting with an idealized model -Subglacial discharge increases as tidewater glaciers retreat along retrograde beds -Submarine melting depends on subglacial discharge and ...
