Global attractivity of a higher order nonlinear difference equation with decreasing terms

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
In the present paper, we further study the asymptotical behavior of the following higher order nonlinear difference equation \begin{equation*} x(n+1)= ax(n)+ bf( x(n)) + cf(x(n-k)), \qquad n=0, 1, \dots \end{equation*} where $a, b $ and $c$ are constants

Global Attractivity of a Family of Max-Type Difference Equations

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2011
We propose to study a generalized family of max-type difference equations and then prove the global attractivity of a particular case of it under some parameter conditions.

Engineering Deformation and Failure in Diamond Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Lattices via 3D Wall‐Thickness Grading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The work demonstrates that strategic wall‐thickness grading in diamond triply periodic minimal surface lattices enables precise tuning of deformation and failure behavior under compression. Different gradation patterns guide how and where the structure collapses, improving energy absorption or promoting controlled brittle failure.

On the Difference Equation xn+1=∑j=0kajfj(xn−j)

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2007
This paper studies the boundedness character and the global attractivity of positive solutions of the difference equation xn+1=∑j=0kajfj(xn−j),n∈ℕ0, where aj are positive numbers and fj are continuous decreasing self-maps of the interval (0,∞) for j=0,1,…

3D‐Printed Serial Snap‐Through Architectures for Programmable Mechanical Response

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A serial snap‐through architecture is realized using compact 3D‐printed von Mises truss units arranged in a staged cascade. Their geometry and boundary conditions program multistage mechanical responses with plateaux and re‐hardening regimes. An inverted‐compliance model predicts these behaviors and enables analytical design of programmable force ...

Global Attractivity of Positive Periodic Solution for a Delayed Predator-Prey System with Diffusion and Impulses

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
By constructing a suitable Lyapunov functional, the global attractivity of positive periodic solutions for a delayed predator-prey system with diffusion and impulses is studied in this paper.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Unique Performance Considerations for Printable Organic Semiconductor and Perovskite Radiation Detectors: Toward Consensus on Best Practice Evaluation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

On the Global Attractivity of a Max-Type Difference Equation

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2009
We investigate asymptotic behavior and periodic nature of positive solutions of the difference equation 𝑥𝑛=max{𝐴/𝑥𝑛−1,1/𝑥𝛼𝑛−3},𝑛=0,1,…, where 𝐴>0 and ...

Stability and attractivity for a class of dissipative phenomena

open access: yes, 2001
We consider initial-boundary-value problems for a class of nonlinear third order equations having non-autonomous forcing terms and get new asymptotic stability results by means of the Liapunov second method.
