Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Dynamics of a damped quintic wave equation with time-dependent coefficients

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
We present a comprehensive investigation of the long-term dynamics generated by a semilinear wave equation with time-dependent coefficients and quintic nonlinearity on a bounded domain subject to Dirichlet boundary conditions.

State Differentiation by Transient Truncation in Coupled Threshold Dynamics

open access: yes, 2006
Dynamics with a threshold input--output relation commonly exist in gene, signal-transduction, and neural networks. Coupled dynamical systems of such threshold elements are investigated, in an effort to find differentiation of elements induced by the ...

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Global attractors for a class of degenerate diffusion equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2003
In this paper we give two existence results for a class of degenerate diffusion equations with p-Laplacian. One is on a unique global strong solution, and the other is on a global attractor.

Anomalous diffusion in polymers: long-time behaviour

open access: yes, 2009
We study the Dirichlet boundary value problem for viscoelastic diffusion in polymers. We show that its weak solutions generate a dissipative semiflow.

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Global attractor and finite dimensionality for a class of dissipative equations of BBM's type

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 1998
In this work we study the Cauchy problem for a class of nonlinear dissipative equations of Benjamin-Bona-Mahony's type. We discuss the existence of a global attractor and estimate its Hausdorff and fractal dimensions.

Asymptotic behavior for second order lattice dynamical systems

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2001
We consider the existence of the global attractor for a second order lattice dynamical systems.

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.
