The most cited definition of global health, published in The Lancet in 2009, defines global health as "an area for study, research, and practice that places a priority on improving health and achieving equity in health for all people worldwide".

Hyperactive ice‐binding proteins stabilize cell membranes and improve resistance to dehydration stress in Caenorhabditis elegans

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Regularity of Global Attractor for the Reaction‐Diffusion Equation [PDF]

By using an iteration procedure, regularity estimates for the linear semigroups, and a classical existence theorem of global attractor, we prove that the reaction‐diffusion equation possesses a global attractor in Sobolev space Hk for all k > 0, which attracts any bounded subset of Hk(Ω) in the Hk‐norm.
