Attractors for the nonclassical reaction–diffusion equations on time-dependent spaces

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2020
In this paper, based on the notation of time-dependent attractors introduced by Conti, Pata and Temam in (J. Differ. Equ. 255:1254–1277, 2013), we prove the existence of time-dependent global attractors in H t $\mathcal{H}_{t}$ for a class of ...

Asymptotic Dynamical Difference between the Nonlocal and Local Swift-Hohenberg Models

open access: yes, 1998
In this paper the difference in the asymptotic dynamics between the nonlocal and local two-dimensional Swift-Hohenberg models is investigated. It is shown that the bounds for the dimensions of the global attractors for the nonlocal and local Swift ...

Sturm 3-ball global attractors 3: Examples of Thom-Smale complexes

open access: yes, 2018
Examples complete our trilogy on the geometric and combinatorial characterization of global Sturm attractors $\mathcal{A}$ which consist of a single closed 3-ball.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

A Novel Method for Designing Multistable Systems with a Hidden Attractor

open access: yesAxioms
Dynamical systems with chaotic attractors are an interesting topic not only for their complex behavior but also due to their potential applications. Along with the chaos, systems can also present interesting features such as multistability, global basin ...

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Upper semicontinuity of attractors of non-autonomous dynamical systems for small perturbations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2002
We study the problem of upper semicontinuity of compact global attractors of non-autonomous dynamical systems for small perturbations. For the general nonautonomous dynamical systems, we give the conditions of upper semicontinuity of attractors for small

On the strongly damped wave equation and the heat equation with mixed boundary conditions

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2000
We study two one-dimensional equations: the strongly damped wave equation and the heat equation, both with mixed boundary conditions. We prove the existence of global strong solutions and the existence of compact global attractors for these equations in ...

Multistability in Large Scale Models of Brain Activity.

open access: yesPLoS Computational Biology, 2015
Noise driven exploration of a brain network's dynamic repertoire has been hypothesized to be causally involved in cognitive function, aging and neurodegeneration.
