Localization of an endogenous lectin in chicken liver, intestine, and pancreas. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979

Heterologous Antilymphocyte Globulin [PDF]

open access: yesNew England Journal of Medicine, 1968
THE immunosuppressive properties of heterologous antilymphocyte serum and its globulin derivative have been well known since 1961, when it was reported that a variety of immunologic responses could...

Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Adolescents and Young Adults With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia—A Retrospective, Dual‐Center Study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Survival outcomes for adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) have improved with modern frontline therapies and minimal residual disease (MRD)‐guided strategies. As a result, allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is increasingly deferred in first remission (CR1) and used in the relapsed setting.

Protein S Enhances the Phagocytosis of Phosphatidylserine‐Exposing Erythrocytes: Implications in Sickle Cell Disease

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The major anticoagulant Protein S (PROS1) also contributes to the phagocytosis of apoptotic cells by bridging exposed phosphatidylserine (PtdSer) to the MerTK receptor on macrophages (efferocytosis). Whether PROS1 is involved in the splenic clearance of PtdSer‐positive senescent and altered erythrocytes such as erythrocyte ghosts (eryghosts ...

Effects of Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction on the Physicochemical Properties of Different Walnut Proteins

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
The effects of ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE, 200 W, 20 min) on the yield and physicochemical properties of different walnut proteins (WNPs, including albumin, globulin, and glutelin) were investigated.

Dual Functions of Dietary Rubber Seed Oil Supplementation: Enriching N‐3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids and Enhancing Antioxidant Capacity in Pekin Ducks

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Dietary RSO supplementation improved growth performance, simultaneously enriched n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 PUFA), and enhanced antioxidant capacity in Pekin ducks, which suggested that RSO has the potential to be a novel n‐3 PUFA source and an antioxidant for Pekin ducks to generate animal functional foods.

Post-hatch L-Threonine Supplementation to Low Protein Diets Influences the Growth Performance and Immune Response of CARIBRO Vishal broiler Chickens

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
Two experiments were conducted to evaluate growth performance, immune responses and carcass traits of CARIBRO Vishal broilers fed dietary L-Thr in low protein diets without or with the balance of Lys and Met.

Serum Biochemical Phenotypes in the Domestic Dog [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The serum or plasma biochemical profile is essential in the diagnosis and monitoring of systemic disease in veterinary medicine, but current reference intervals typically take no account of breed-specific differences.
