Murine models of renal disease: Possibilities and problems in studies using mutant mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The elucidation of the pathogenesis of human renal disease at the molecular level has been facilitated by the growing field of gene targeting and the development of mouse strains with single-gene deletions - the `knock-out' mice. Experimental nephrology,

[Membranous glomerulonephritis]. [PDF]

open access: yesSrpski arhiv za celokupno lekarstvo, 1997
We report on 59 patients with membranous nephropathy, 37 male and 22 female, aged between 15 and 72 years (33.2 +/- 11.5). Light microscopy was performed in all cases, immunofluorescent in 53 and electron microscopy in 10 cases. Clinical data (renal function, nephrotic syndrome and hypertension) were taken into consideration.

Idiopathic or iatrogenic membranous glomerulonephritis? A case of spironolactone-induced membranous glomerulonephritis [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Kidney Journal, 2011
Membranous nephropathy (MN) is the most common cause of nephrotic syndrome in adults in the UK. In most cases, the aetiology remains unknown, although recent data suggested a clear mechanism of pathogenesis. In approximately a quarter of cases, however, a presumed cause is found, such as systemic lupus nephritis, malignancy, hepatitis B and various ...

Mesangial cells in membranous glomerulonephritis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Pathology, 1973
Renal biopsies of seven patients with membranous glomerulonephritis were examined by light, electron, and immunofluorescence microscopy. All had characteristic changes of glomerular basement membranes, typically with bright granular membranous fluorescence of IgG and variable deposits of complement.
