Membranous glomerulonephritis with crescents

International Urology and Nephrology, 2013
The coexistence of membranous glomerulonephritis (MGN) and necrotizing and crescentic glomerulonephritis (NCGN) is an unusual finding in a renal biopsy except in lupus nephritis. Little is known about whether these lesions are causally related in any clinical setting. We reviewed the pathology, presentation, and clinical course of 13 non-lupus patients ...

Membranous Glomerulonephritis and Pregnancy

Obstetrical & Gynecological Survey, 1988
The clinical courses of 33 pregnancies in 24 patients with biopsy proven membranous glomerulonephritis have been analyzed. Twenty-four percent (8) of pregnancies resulted in fetal loss, 43% (14) in premature delivery and 33% (11) in a live birth after 36 weeks gestation. Maternal renal function declined during pregnancy in 9% (3) of the pregnancies and

Membranous Glomerulonephritis Associated with Sarcoidosis*

Australian and New Zealand Journal of Medicine, 1978
Summary: Two patients with sarcoidosis involving pulmonary hilar lymph nodes developed the nephrotic syndrome. Renal biopsy in both cases showed membranous glomerulonephritis. In one patient, there was an associated renal vein thrombosis.

PATHOGENESIS OF MEMBRANOUS GLOMERULONEPHRITIS

The Lancet, 1974
Abstract It is suggested that the morphological differences between various types of immune-complex nephritis (e.g., systemic lupus erythematosus, membranous glomerulonephritis) can be explained by differential filtration effects in the glomerulus. Low-molecular-weight compounds, such as horseradish peroxidase (40,000), show negligible concentration ...

Membranous Glomerulonephritis and Steroids

Annals of Internal Medicine, 1973
Excerpt To the editor: I am confused about the conclusion reached by Gluck and co-workers in their recent article "Membranous Glomerulonephritis" (Ann Intern Med 78:1-12, 1973) concerning the value...

[Membranous glomerulonephritis and pregnancy].

Minerva ginecologica, 1994
The authors report two pregnancies that occurred within a brief period of time in the same woman, who suffered from a histologically diagnosed membranous glomerulonephritis. The good final result is to be related to the active cooperation among obstetrists and nephrologists specialists. Moreover, they point out the full unsuitability of the schemes for

Penicillamine Induced Membranous Glomerulonephritis

Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology, 1975
Renal biopsy material from thirty-five patients, who developed glomerulonephritis whilst receiving penicillamine, was studied. All patients had a membranous glomerulonephritis diagnosed either on 0.5 μ silver stained sections or by electron microscopy and occasionally confirmed by immunofluorescence. In 16 cases light microscopy alone of conventional 3

Bucillamine induces membranous glomerulonephritis

American Journal of Kidney Diseases, 2002
A variety of renal histopathologic lesions, such as amyloidosis, mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis, and membranous glomerulonephritis (MGN), are associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Bucillamine (BCL), a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug, has a chemical structure and side-effect profile similar to that of d-penicillamine, which can ...

RECURRENT IDIOPATHIC MEMBRANOUS GLOMERULONEPHRITIS

Transplantation, 1977
This study reports the clinical and pathological findings in a patient with recurrent membranous glomerulonephritis following transplantation of an HLA-identical kidney. Such a recurrence has been previously reported only once, although membranous glomerulonephritis is a common cause of nephrotic syndrome in adults.

IDIOPATHIC MEMBRANOUS GLOMERULONEPHRITIS WITH CRESCENTS

Acta Pathologica Japonica, 1981
Three cases with idiopathic membranous glomerulonephritis associated with crescent formation are reported. A 39‐year‐old woman showed rapidly progressive decline in renal function. Her renal histology disclosed early membranous changes with diffuse crescent formation.
