Background Information on mitoxantrone pharmacokinetics in children is lacking and reduced dosing regimens applied to infants are supported by limited scientific rationale. Abstract Aim Tacrolimus monitoring is generally performed in whole blood (WB). Most (>85%) of circulating tacrolimus is bound to red blood cells. During pregnancy, WB monitoring might be suboptimal because of physiological changes including increased plasma volume and decreased haematocrit.

Possible therapeutic repositioning of valproic acid: From epileptic seizures to acute kidney injury

Valproic acid, an anticonvulsant, may be repositioned to prevent acute kidney injury due to ischemia followed by reperfusion. It preserves renal functions, electrolyte homeostasis and active sodium transport in kidney tubules, and blocks the onset of hypertension.
