Cell-Type Specific Changes in Glial Morphology and Glucocorticoid Expression During Stress and Aging in the Medial Prefrontal Cortex. [PDF]
Repeated exposure to stressors is known to produce large-scale remodeling of neurons within the prefrontal cortex (PFC). Recent work suggests stress-related forms of structural plasticity can interact with aging to drive distinct patterns of pyramidal ...

Pinosylvin Inhibits Inflammatory and Osteoclastogenesis via NLRP3 Inflammasome
Pinosylvin blocks LPS and RANKL induced NEK7/NLRP3 interaction, inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome oligomerization and assembly, reducing IL‐1β maturation and GSDMD cleavage, and improving the inflammatory microenvironment and abnormal osteoclastogenesis. Abstract Pro‐inflammatory cytokines such as TNF, IL‐1, and IL‐6 trigger aberrant osteoclastogenesis and

Effect of the glucocorticoid receptor antagonist Org 34850 on fast and delayed feedback of corticosterone release [PDF]
We investigated the effect of the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) antagonist Org 34850 on fast and delayed inhibition of corticosterone secretion in response to the synthetic glucocorticoid methylprednisolone (MPL).

This work identifies a novel mechanism by which dopamine D1 receptor (DRD1) contributes to the pathogenesis of glucocorticoid (GC)‐associated osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) through the regulation of osteoblastic apoptosis, indicating that DRD1 serves as a critical mediator of the crosstalk between the nervous and skeletal systems.

Chromatin accessibility pre-determines glucocorticoid receptor binding patterns
Development, differentiation and response to environmental stimuli are characterized by sequential changes in cellular state initiated by the de novo binding of regulated transcriptional factors to their cognate genomic sites.

Obese gut‐microbiota derived lipopolysaccharides (LPS) induce bone marrow macrophage senescence and GCA secretion via activating TLR4/NF‐κB/MAPKs pathway. Clinically, obese patients are associated with higher serum GCA levels. Mice with depletion of GCA gene show resistance to skeletal deterioration caused by obesity and LPS‐induced chronic ...

Bidirectional Interaction Between the Brain and Bone in Traumatic Brain Injury
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) disrupts the blood–brain barrier and activates neuroimmune responses, causing metabolic disturbances and long‐term bone mass loss. Concurrent fractures accelerate healing and enhance osteogenesis but disrupt regulatory mechanisms, leading to altered bone dynamics and exacerbating neuroinflammation, complicating recovery ...

Glucocorticoid replacement therapy, available since the 1950s, has prolonged the survival of patients with adrenal insufficiency. However, adrenal crises, which are life-threatening medical emergencies, still develop in many affected patients.

KRAS/ABHD17C/ALOX15B Axis Promotes Pancreatic Cancer Progression via Ferroptosis Evasion
Phosphorylation of ABHD17C induced by KRASmut/ERK signaling facilitates ALOX15B depalmitoylation and degradation via the CUL4/DDB1/DCAF10 complex, thereby enabling KRASmut‐PDAC cell to evade ferroptosis. Methyl protodioscin inhibits KRASmut‐PDAC progression by disrupting the ABHD17C/ALOX15B interaction and inducing ferroptosis, which represents a ...
