Evaluation of a Dermocosmetic Serum for Managing Hyperpigmentation Disorders in Phototypes IV‐VI Individuals From South Africa and Argentina

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Hyperpigmentation disorders are a distressing condition, especially for individuals with skin of color who are at higher risk. Often treated topically, a significant advancement in this field was Kligman's depigmenting trio, inhibiting melanogenesis, providing anti‐inflammatory benefits, and promoting epidermal renewal.

Gene Expression and Structural Differences Underpinning Black and White Colouration in Spiders

open access: yesMolecular Ecology, Volume 35, Issue 12, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The presence of multiple color variants within a single population, known as color polymorphism, is a striking example of intraspecific phenotypic variation and a model for studying evolutionary processes. These processes depend on the underlying mechanisms such as the genes and pigments involved; but we currently lack such information for non‐

Comprehensive and Comparative Transcriptional Profiling of the Cell Wall Stress Response in Bacillus subtilis

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, Volume 125, Issue 6, Page 506-545, June 2026.
Transcriptional profiling of the primary cell envelope stress response (CESR) of Bacillus subtilis exposed to a range of cell wall‐targeting antimicrobials, combining RNAseq and high‐resolution tiling arrays. We revealed the complexity of the CESR, the contribution of extracytoplasmic function sigma factors (ECFs) and two‐component signal transduction ...

Bifunctional Monosaccharides Preferentially Localize to Nuclear Subcompartments

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 10, 27 May 2026.
Bifunctional N‐acetylgalactosamine and N‐acetylglucosamine analogues were generated and used for visualizing the subcellular localization of monosaccharides. Using these probes, we provide direct evidence for partitioning of monosaccharides into highly metabolically active nuclear subcompartments.
