Maternal hyperglycemia and the 100-g oral glucose tolerance test
Objectives: To compare the characteristics of pregnant women with hyperglycemia according to the severity of glucose intolerance using the 100-g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and to demonstrate the need to manage the condition of women with mild ...

Is type 2 diabetes really resolved after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy? Glucose variability studied by continuous glucose monitoring [PDF]
The study was carried out on type 2 diabetic obese patients who underwent laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG). Patients underwent regular glycemic controls throughout 3 years and all patients were defined cured from diabetes according to conventional ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

High prevalence of undiagnosed impaired glucose tolerance in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
Objectives: Although the risk of diabetes mellitus has been recognised in rheumatoid arthritis, undiagnosed dysglycaemia remained under-reported. The study aimed to determine the prevalence and associated factors of dysglycaemia among patients with ...

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Antidiabetic effect of Tibetan medicine Tang-Kang-Fu-San in db/db mice via activation of PI3K/Akt and AMPK pathways [PDF]
This study was to investigate the anti-diabetic effects and molecular mechanisms of Tang-Kang-Fu-San (TKFS), a traditional Tibetan medicine, in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus of spontaneous diabetic db/db mice.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Recessive mutations in the cancer gene Ataxia Telangiectasia Mutated (ATM), at a locus previously associated with metformin response, cause dysglycaemia and insulin resistance [PDF]
Aim: To investigate glucose and insulin metabolism in participants with ataxia telangiectasia in the absence of a diagnosis of diabetes. Methods: A standard oral glucose tolerance test was performed in participants with ataxia telangiectasia (n ...
