Recent Insights in Multi‐Target Drugs in Pharmacology and Medicinal Chemistry

open access: yesChemMedChem, EarlyView.
This review highlights the rationale behind multitarget drug design as a promising approach to address diseases with complex etiologies. By combining pharmacophore features from different single‐target drugs, multitarget compounds can interact with multiple biological targets simultaneously.

Biomimetic chloroplasts: Two‐phase microfluidic platforms with selective permeability for artificial photosynthesis

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
We present a biomimetic chloroplast system that integrates light‐dependent and light‐independent reactions, reaction compartments, and selectively permeable interfaces using a biphasic microfluidic droplet platform. This system enables continuous substrate–product exchange, mitigating product inhibition and side reactions, thus enhancing reaction ...

Platinum‐Binding Peptides: Binding Kinetics, Affinities, and Facet‐Specific Conformational Adaptation

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Two new platinum‐binding peptides are identified by phage display against Pt‐{100} and polycrystalline targets. Binding free energies (ΔG) are quantified on Pt‐{111} surfaces using a quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring. Synchrotron radiation circular dichroism (SRCD) reveals facet‐dependent conformational adaptation on cubic (Pt ...

Lanthanide‐Binding Lanmodulin‐Based Peptides: Insights from Advanced Mass Spectrometry Techniques

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Analysis of lanthanide‐binding peptides in the gas phase by advances mass spectrometry methods saves sample amount and time. Selective peptide ligands for lanthanides (Ln) have multiple applications in, for example, Ln‐separation and recycling or as lanthanide‐binding tags.
