This study demonstrates variation in photo‐induced secretion of insulin and amylin from Channelrhodopsin‐2 expressing MIN6 cells under different irradiation conditions. For the first time, an alteration in the relative ratio of amylin: insulin is observed with varying irradiation conditions.

Abstract Impaired awareness of hypoglycemia (IAH) impacts 25%–30% of individuals with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D), potentially leading to severe outcomes due to reduced symptom perception. Naloxone, a mu‐opioid receptor antagonist, shows promise as a preventive measure against IAH.
