Structural peculiarities of partial glycerides and their derivatives

Structural studies of neutral glycerides and phosphoglycerides of rat liver
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1969Abstract The distribution of fatty acids esterified at each position of glycerol in triglycerides (TG), phosphatidyl choline (PC), and phosphatidyl ethanolamine (PE) of rat liver was determined. The carbon number distribution of TG and diglyceride acetates derived from PC and PE was also determined.

Structural relationships between glycerides of pig serum and adipose tissue
Lipids, 1971AbstractStructural analyses have been performed on the triacylglycerols and phosphoglycerides isolated from adipose tissue, serum chylomicrons, and serum lipoproteins from pigs. The triacylglycerols from adipose tissue contained mainly palmitate esterified at the 2 position of the glycerol moiety, whereas those from the serum had ...

Contribution towards the glyceride structure of kamala seed oil
Lipids, 1976AbstractKamala (Mallotus philippinensis) oil was crystallized using acetone at temperatures progressively lowered from ambient to −15C. The five fractions thus obtained were subjected to intensive analysis using a variety of methods. These included thin layer chromatography before and after hydrogenation, cryoscopic mean molecular wt determination ...

Structure of neutral glycerides and phosphoglycerides of human kidney
International Journal of Biochemistry, 1975Abstract 1. 1. Neutral lipids and phospholipids of human kidney have been isolated and the fatty acid composition of each determined. 2. 2. Triglycerides were fractionated into 7 bands by argentation chromatography. The major class (49%) was saturated, monoene, monoene. Stereospecific analysis revealed that both positions 1 and 2 contained an

Structure of unsaturated glycerides. Analysis by countercurrent distribution and lipase hydrolysis
Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1966AbstractThe structure of highly unsaturated triglycerides isolated from soybean, linseed and safflower oils by countercurrent distribution has been determined by the pancreatic lipase hydrolysis technique. Compositions of positionally distinguishable glyceride isomers for the 5‐double bond fraction obtained from safflower oil, the 7‐double bond ...

The Structure of the glycerides of pistachio kernel oil
Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1978AbstractPistachio kernel oil has been analyzed by separating the triglycerides according to their degree of unsaturation by means of thin layer chromatography on silica gel plates impregnated with silver nitrate. The total fatty acids and the fatty acid on position 2 of each individual triglyceride were determined. The distribution of oleic acid on the
