Study on Seasonal Variation of Cohesive Suspended Sediment Transport in Estuary of Mahakam Delta by using A Numerical Model

open access: yesJurnal Teknik Sipil, 2010
. A coupled three-dimensional hydrodynamics and sediment transport model of HydroQual, Inc., (2002), ECOMSED, has been used to simulate variation of suspended cohesive sediment transport in Estuary of Mahakam Delta.

Comment on “Sedimentation Controls on Methane‐Hydrate Dynamics Across Glacial/Interglacial Stages: An Example From International Ocean Discovery Program Site U1517, Hikurangi Margin” by E. J. Screaton et al.

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, 2020
In the IODP 372A proposal, working hypotheses used with respect to actively deforming gas hydrate‐bearing landslides were based on an initial calculation considering gas hydrate to occur in fresh water.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Parity of esteem and systems thinking: a theory informed qualitative inductive thematic analysis

open access: yesBMC Psychiatry, 2022
Background Parity of Esteem (PoE) is about equality between mental and physical health but is a term lacking definition and clarity. The complexity of the field of mental health and the conversations around PoE add to its opacity.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Tordera River Delta system build up (NE Iberian Peninsula): sedimentary sequences and offshore correlation

open access: yesScientia Marina, 2015
The Tordera River Delta is made up of coarse sand bodies which were formed during the last sea level rise. Marine and land seismic profiles and wells show three depositional Holocene sequences corresponding to a) the transgressive base level, b) the ...

Effect of AlSi coating on laser spot welding of press hardened steel and process improvement with annular stirring

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2020
Laser spot welding method was employed to fabricate AlSi coated press-hardened steel (PHS) joints in overlapped configuration. Al and Si segregate at the notch root of a laser spot weld of AlSi coated PHS resulting in pre-mature cracking and weakening ...

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...
