Keberhasilan Early Goal-Directed Therapy dan Faktor Pengganggu pada Pasien Sepsis Berat di Instalasi Gawat Darurat Rumah Sakit Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung yang Akan Menjalani Pembedahan

open access: yesJurnal Anestesi Perioperatif, 2015
Early goal-directed therapy (EGDT) is conducted to reduce morbidity and mortality in patients with severe sepsis and septic shock. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the success of EGDT in patients with severe sepsis in the emergency room (ER) of ...

Goal-Directed Fluid Therapy and major postoperative complications in elective craniotomy. A retrospective analysis of a before-after multicentric study

open access: yesBMC Anesthesiology, 2023
Background Goal-Directed Fluid Therapy (GDFT) is recommended to decrease major postoperative complications. However, data are lacking in intra-cranial neurosurgery. Methods We evaluated the efficacy of a GDFT protocol in a before/after multi-centre study

Goal-directed colloid administration improves the microcirculation of healthy and perianastomotic colon

open access: yes, 2009
BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of goal-directed colloid fluid therapy with goal-directed crystalloid and restricted crystalloid fluid therapy on healthy and perianastomotic colon tissue in a pig model of colon anastomosis ...

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Efficacy of goal-directed fluid therapy monitored by pulse-pressure variation using a continuous noninvasive arterial pressure monitoring system (the CNAP TM system) during parathyroidectomy in patients with end-stage renal failure – a randomised trial

open access: yesArchives of Medical Science, 2020
Introduction There are no well-recognised guidelines for intraoperative fluid management in patients with end-stage renal failure (ESRF). Goal-directed fluid therapy (GDFT) is a concept of perioperative fluid management that improves patients’ prognosis.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Suppression of lung adenocarcinoma migration through organelle alkalization by human lactoferrin – albumin fusion

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.
