Goal oriented ranking scheme

Proceedings of the International Conference and Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology, 2010
Evolutionary algorithms (EAs) are always be a good choice to solve multi-objective problems (MLPs). EA use ranking schemes to solve MLP's. Most of ranking schemes use only objective values to rank the solution where as some use the condition in which the problem arises to rank the solutions.

GOAL-ORIENTED PROCESSES WITH GPMN

International Journal on Artificial Intelligence Tools, 2011
Business process management is a challenging task that requires business processes being described, executed, monitored and continuously enhanced. This process management lifecycle requires business as well as IT people working together, whereby the view on business process is quite different on both sides.

Goal-oriented testing for MASs

International Journal of Agent-Oriented Software Engineering, 2010
As Multi-Agent Systems (MASs) are increasingly applied in complex distributed applications such as financial and healthcare services, assurance needs to be given to the user that the implemented MASs operate properly, i.e., they meet their specifications and the stakeholder's expectations.

Goal-oriented service selection

Proceedings of the 2nd international conference on Theory and practice of electronic governance, 2008
Semantic technologies are going to be applied to almost all aspects of e-Government. Most of the approaches described so far deal with automatic web service discovery used by software agents. This paper focuses on the use of semantic technologies to support citizens when interacting with e-Government sites.

Goal Orientations: Three Perspectives on Motivation Goal Orientations

2012
Motivation is the force that propels an individual’s engagement with a given course of action. The notion of goal orientations plays a central role in models of language learning that include motivation. Typically, in language learning theorizing, a goal orientation is viewed as a reason, or a cluster of reasons for learning the language.

A Goal-oriented Approach to Goal Selection and Action Selection

2006 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 2006
Goal selection and action selection are important topics in agent research. This paper first describes an agent model, Goal Net, which supports multiple goal selection methods and action selection mechanisms for an agent. Then a goal selection algorithm and action selection mechanisms supported by Goal Net are presented.

Goal Oriented Requirements Engineering

2002
Motivation for goal-driven requirements engineering: In (Lamsweerde, 2000), Axel van Lamsweerde defines Requirements Engineering (RE) as “concerned with the identification of goals to be achieved by the envisioned system, the operationalisation of such goals into services and constraints, and the assignment of responsibilities of resulting requirements

Goal-Oriented Composition of Services

2008
One fundamental issue in service-oriented computing concerns the question whether services can be composed in a manner that allows them to achieve their individual goals. In this paper we use a variant of interface automata as an abstraction of the input/output behaviour of services, which are themselves represented as terms in the π-calculus extended ...

Enabling Goal Oriented Action Planning with Goal Net

2009 IEEE/WIC/ACM International Joint Conference on Web Intelligence and Intelligent Agent Technology, 2009
In this paper, we propose an agent planning system based on the Goal Net model. The agent’s goals are identified and organized in a composite goal hierarchy. Three kinds of relations between goals are defined: choice, concurrency and synchronization. Actions between goals are designed to accomplish subsequent goals.

TEAMWORK GOAL ORIENTATION AS A NEW COMPONENT OF GOAL ORIENTATION CONCEPTUALIZATION.

Academy of Management Proceedings, 2006
This study broadens the conceptualization of goal orientation to include teamwork goal orientation and investigates the relationship between goal orientations and job involvement. The results show that teamwork goal orientation can be distinguished from learning, performance approach and performance avoidance orientations and provides incremental ...
